Work through this one

What gets set up for payday, and who still runs it.

People looking at outsourced accounting for accountants want the chores moved and the risk left in a sensible place.

Block 01Setup is not the same as running payday

This desk can put the payroll on a full service provider in your name, map the accounts, and tie the payments back to the books. The approval that sends the money stays with you.

Block 02The payday row, kept small on purpose

It does not get to crowd out the close. The marked row is still the month.

What you hold by the tenth
  1. monthBy the tenthLast month tied, or a plain note that it is not
  2. What movedOne change, with a reason you can repeat
  3. Owner paySet with the tax election in view, before the return is drafted
  4. OctoberThe year priced while there is still time to act on it
Payday is a setup. The tenth is the work. No client payroll is shown.

Block 03The chair is not a license

Closing a month and preparing a return is ordinary work, and the person in this chair holds no CPA license. Signed audits, reviews, compilations and assurance reports stay with a firm that holds one, and that gets named before anybody discusses a start date.

Payday can be set up from this chair and is run by you on a provider you own. Nobody here stands in for you in an examination. The rest of it is written out on the disclosures page.

Block 04A cleaner month, not a payroll shop

Breadth is the payroll entries landing in books that also feed the return. Height is a CFO who will not pretend to be your payroll department.

Block 05Out loud

I wanted the accounting taken off my week. I still wanted to be the person who releases payday.
